Kevin Pearce Wins The 2007 Arctic Challenge
The 2007 Arctic Challenge went down in Oslo, Norway over the weekend with over 3,000 spectators in attendance and record numbers watching around the world on live web casts. A nice touch this year at the event was a 30-foot high Viking sword stuck straight down into the center of the quarterpipe which acted as a height marker. (more…)

Guys Night Out - Girls Ride Free

Posted on January 24th, 2007 by admin.
Categories: Events.

In case you haven’t heard, Seymour is the place to be on Monday nights. Andy dropped us a quick note to give us an update.

It was a clear cool evening for the first Guys Night Out – Girls Ride FREE session. The ticket counter opened at 5:45pm and we waited nervously wondering what the turn out would be. Staff made their bets and numbers ranged from 0 to maybe 50 if we were lucky. By the end of the evening 70 very stoked women had stormed into Guest Services and collected their first free lift pass. Men waiting to pay for their lift pass stood outside wondered how they could get in on the action. Donations were made to breast cancer research. Bevys were drank. Movies were watched. Promises were made to be back the following Monday.

All in all, a very successful first evening. For the coming weeks we’ll be ramping up Après in the Elevation 1020m Lounge, adding theme nights (park, gates, open mike, and moguls – that’s right mogul night), and providing greater exposure to the events beneficiary – Breast Cancer research.
